This is the 2nd bass of this size that I have caught out of this stream. They are just now posting No trespassing signs.... Hard to find a good fishing hole these days without being kicked out!!! This stream runs under Eastchase Parkway... thats all i will say. Some bass have the dark stripe, some dont. Why is this??? Anyone. I was also told that means they are not very healthy fish... but bass getting that big must be eating something good. Who knows.

Thats what I thought. The guy that told me that prolly doesnt know what hes talking about im sure. Sure looked healthy to me.... put up a nice fight. A guy walking over the bridge saw me catch that one and asked if i had a camera.... and I never go fishing without a camera. =P good times... ive been back every day since.

Nice catch, Bassfin17. I predict the fishng will pick up there despite the new signage. Just out of curiosity, who's No Tresspassing signs are they? City's? TPWD's?

Im pretty sure they are the citys. But I just act like I dont see them because they have them posted a bit aways and on the other bank. So I dont know. I dont think anyone cares as long as you arent littering the hell out of the place you know... I will continue to fish there, and if they try to run me off I will offer to pick up trash down there once a week. lol.

i kind of always thought that the whiter the bass is (without the stripe) that means that the fish has been deep, but might not be true if the fish is leaving in a creek, has anyone heard this before

Lots of factors.. Water coloration, depth, if you caught one under a bridge, it would likely be lighter than one out in the sun(no joke). As far as the prominent stripe goes, I wonder if some of those are spotted(kentucky)bass.

BTW that is an Awesome creek bass.

That is a nice chunk! When I lived in Arlington I used to spend my lunch hours down there during the summer months. Crappie and blacks were in abundence down there and I had few caught that size 3-4 lbs at best.

That's a nice fish.. My best out of those holes is a 8.6
I can fish it legally, we live in the gated community beside EBBY
Halliday. You are trespassing.. That's too bad too.. The reason the signs went up was because of all the littering..

That stream is the over flow from Lake Arlington..
