Crappie fisherman...I am currently heading to Humble Texas for three years for my next duties in the USMC. Question to you all...where in the world can I do some slab fishing at? I will be living pretty close to Lake Houston. I have been on the internet all day looking for quality crappie fishing and haven't found much...any news would be greatly appreciated...

Good luck on the waters.

You have some nice lakes to fish, Lake Houston, Lake Conroe, and Lake Livingston. I've fished all of them and the crappie fishing is very good.

Lake Houston is a good crappie lake. It is one of the most fished for species in that lake and lots of good folks that are willing to chew the fat and help you out up and down the East Fork.

Don't be shy but, don't be rude and you'll get a lot of good info.

If you don't mind a little driving Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend both have some great crappie fishing and big ones too.
