Last week, on Fork while I was fishing by myself, I was having a hard time seeing my line at night. I couldnt tell how hard left or right the fish was going and 3 times they wound up in snags. If I would have known they were cutting so hard I would have thrown some cubes to correct them. I have spooled with the hi-vis fluoro line and ordered this; http://blacklightshop.com/headlamp.htmlI am curious to see how well this works out.

Pretty sure Bret and I did this a few years back, at the Granbury tournament. With blacklight settings on headlamps and a blacklight set on the ground.
Though, we sort of did it by accident when I realized my line glowed under blacklight on my short rods...so we brought some, and I set up a short rod as a "buffalo trap", so we could keep track of every little movement of the line at night.
Caught some fish that way but never bothered to try again lol.
Let us know how it works out, Jason!

It works great.
fluorescent line looks like a rope under the lights.
It was not an accident though. When I was night fishing a lot, I kept my second spools filled with fluorescent blue line fust for this purpose.

Another thing I've done for Night Fishing is "Nighterize" my rod tips. Before I used alarms, I had to watch the rod tips all night. To make it easier, I put strips of reflective tape and glow in the dark tape across my rod tips for the top 3 or 4 sections.
It really did help and lasted longer than I expected. every once in a while, the line would get under an end of one of the strips.
