Would appreciate some general advise on fishing at Belton. I am planning a trip mid next week, but have never been on this Lake.

For Whites- Striper, would the "damn" end of the lake be the best ?
Given a North wind, where would be the best place to launch ?
Any advise on baits / tactics ?
How is the largemouth fishing this time of year ?

Thanks.

With the cooler temps, I'd fish up the lake instead of the main lake if you're fishing for Whites/Hybrids. Live bait works really well and more productive than artificials. If possible catch shad, they always work well.

Thanks for the replies.
I typically use only artificial baits being a Sommerville, Bastrop, Fayette and Granger "black bass" fishing type.
