Sorry for listing the same topic twice but I just learned how to post the pictures.

Hey Guys, My Son and Grandsons and I went to Purtis Creek this past weekend and did pretty good. We caught a total of 25 and threw back the dinks but kept 11 keepers. 8 crappie and 3 sandies. Sure going to be some good eating. We found them in bp's at 10 ft. It was windy but they seemed to bite better when the wind was blowing. We were using jigs and minnows. Mainly minnows. Lake is 2.5' low, clear. 75`
The main thing was we had a good time and I enjoyed seeing those little boys eyes get big when they caught one. That was worth it all.
cheers woot

nice catch

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
