My dad caught a 30# one off of a crappie minnow, figure they were attracted to the plankton around the lanterns. They taste very good, more like shark than any fresh water fish as I recall. Like a shark, not a solid bone in their body (all cartilage)

During the spawn period, on the hot spots I see a lot of spoonbill heads on the bank. I guess they don't fit in the cooler too well with the head on.
