We've had another frontal passage that provided us with about 2" of rain... The temperatures have also dropped several degrees... The low temp last night was 49, tonight the forcast is for a low around 45F...
The fishing has been a bit "tuff" lately.... Several folks have told me that they could not catch fish using the suggested "best fly" , then switched to a wooly bugger and was successful at catching a few fish.... This explains why I keep the wooly bugger in the list of "best flies" at all times. It simply Works!!
"IF I had to fish with only ONE fly.... I would choose a wooly bugger!!!"
Today the powerhouse started generation a few hours earlier than the time posted... You CANNOT believe the information that these folks post... Like Ive always said..."consulting your Ouiga Board" will produce similar accuracy of the generation schedule.. A pair of dice might produce similar accuracy!
Oct 9th is scheduled to be a trout stocking day... Also trout are scheduled to be stocked into zone 2 for the first time in many months... This will allow the Catch & Release anglers to spread out a bit, finally.
Good flies have been: wooly buggers, y2k bugs, blue winged olives, elk hair caddis, adams, stimulators, several types of bead head flies, including copper johns and others...
We have 10,000 flies to choose from and we will be happy to help you select a few productive flies .... Come see us when you get a chance... We thank you for your support.... We are located INSIDE the STATE PARK... alongside the Mtn Fork River...
