Don't know if any of you have heard of or seen this yet but I just got done watching it and must say that I am a little dissapointed. Is it purely coincidental that this surfaces less than a month from the election? http://my.barackobama.com/page/invite/keatingvideo

Why are surprised by the timing of this coming out? I've known about McCain's role in the Keating 5 scandal for years...I also know how he repented and became a maverick bent on trying to correct the problems in government...
That was over 20 years ago...It's not like he pals around with people who set off bombs against American targets....

Coincidental as in it isn't being talked about, rather its derailed by everything else presently going on. Most people don't know about or don't remember when this happened nearly 20 years ago. Is it coincidental was a rhetorical question.

McCain was cleared of any wrong doing in the scandal and many consider the fact that he was the ONLY! Republican in the 5,they kept him in as part of the investigation....this is a non-issue!

William Ayers motivation has always been to create radical changes in this country.
When the bombings didnt work he turned to kids, to poison thier minds and create a new generation of Revolutionist....by deeply intrenching himself in the educational system and attempting to push a radical political mindset on CHILDREN....this is how he creates his kind of........ CHANGE!

The DEMOCRAT attorney who was commissioned to lead the investigation into the Keating matter determined that there was no reason to proceed further with an investigation of John McCain's involvement. Contrary to his report and for reasons political, McCain was included in the subsequent hearing before Congress. Cheap partisan politics were what it was about.

After almost two years of solid campaigning, I don't know of a single positive reason any lieberal has posted to support the candidacy of Barack Obama. Not one.
Google Rules for Radicals and you will have 50 reasons not to support him.

Glenn and McCain: cleared of impropriety but criticized for poor judgment
The Senate Ethics Committee ruled that the involvement of Glenn in the scheme was minimal, and the charges against him were dropped.[47] He was only criticized by the Committee for "poor judgment."[50]
The Ethics Committee ruled that the involvement of McCain in the scheme was also minimal, and he too was cleared of all charges against him.[48][47] McCain was criticized by the Committee for exercising "poor judgment" when he met with the federal regulators on Keating's behalf.[7] The report also said that McCain's "actions were not improper nor attended with gross negligence and did not reach the level of requiring institutional action against him....Senator McCain has violated no law of the United States or specific Rule of the United States Senate."[51] On his Keating Five experience, McCain has said: "The appearance of it was wrong. It's a wrong appearance when a group of senators appear in a meeting with a group of regulators, because it conveys the impression of undue and improper influence. And it was the wrong thing to do."[7]
Regardless of the level of their involvement, both senators were greatly affected by it. McCain would write in 2002 that attending the two April 1987 meetings was "the worst mistake of my life".
