I've been hunting doves for a long time now but have never put out some decoys. Do they work? And which decoys are good.
I shoot almost everyday get about 5-6 birds daily but wanted to see if the decoys can lure them out some more.

I have used them off and on and think they work pretty well. I just use the cheap decoys that you use a clothes pin and attach to a fence. I haven't tried the mojo decoys yet but have heard good things about them.

Never used the cheaper decoys, but the Mojo is very effective.
You can never tell if it actually brings them in, but it deffinately keeps them from darting off.

I use the ones from Academy that have wind powered wings. Ive watched doves turn around and come back when I have it set out. They work great and cheaper than the MOJO.

LOL maybe I should try that haha cool! good info guys thanks I'm going to Bass pro today and picking up some cheap ones and like 2 mojo decoys Don't get too disappointed if you don't just wear them out right now. Dove season is in it's 6th week and unless you are in a really good spot, you may not see that many birds with or without the mojo. That said, I love my mojo dove. I have "rigged" it to where it sits atop a 7' pole and runs on a 6 volt lantern battery, which lasts much longer the 4 AA's. I am convinced that as the batteries wear down and the wings slow down, they are less effective. Good luck. (Now if I can only figure out a way to keep my FIL from shooting it!!)

Decoys are CHEATING. just like blinds and feeders, right? Yes sir. You guys already have a leg up on them with guns and now are hiding from them and putting out fake doves. For shame, for shame on all of you.
