I don't use stinkbait but if I did, I believe secret 7 or stickit would be the ones I did, just from the good reports I've seen on here. I think they are both from Team Catfish. I've also heard Danny Kings has made corrections to their product to return it to it's former quality.

Any stink bait will work in the winter. It just gets a little stiffer to work with. But still manageable. Unless you live and fish in an area at 30 below zero.

Look it up on the net . It some good stuff that seems to work better in the cooler weather. It has something in it that other don't have. I fished with the creator of that stuff years back and his mooth is zipped up. It won't wash of your hands if you get it on them .

I use Danny King's in the winter, but I add some sour maze to it along with some cow's blood. Works for me. fish

The SECRET-7 will work in the winter time. The only thing you must do is stir the bait very well before using it. It's so sticky that in the cooler weather it will stiffen up. I caught a few cats with it in 39 degree water on the Ark. River last winter......that’s pretty darn cold for cheese bait.

We also put a black lid on all the tubs of bait to help it heat it up faster. Set it directly in the sun if you can on cool mornings. The black lid will help soften it. Some folks stir in a small amount of veg. oil to soften it up in cooler weather....Keeping the SECRET-7 soft in cool weather is the key......Also, if you are fishing for eater size cats as the water cools make sure to downsize you bait holders. We cut the DEAD RED tubes in half and have better luck when the water is under 55 degrees.

Hope this helps....Good luck!!!
