To find fishing ponds and rivers go here, see when they were stocked and with what and see community ponds and rivers and lakes etc... You will be shocked at how many park ponds are in north texas and when they were stocked and with what. Look at state records and look at LMBass and towards the bottom and the oldest is from 1980, look where. All the city ponds stocked with bass, places like the boys ranch in bedford, I tried it and caught a 4lb bass some 2 and 3lb cats the only day I tried it, I caught bass at Greenbriar, fosdic (where I put 20 12 to 14in. blacks two years ago, como, chisolm, and the secrete of Fort Worth with very few people is the Trinity. It releases from Ben Brook and from Lake Worth and comes together at downtown behind the jail and the Radio shack campus soon to be TCCC, Water from Richland Chambers and Cedar Creek is pumped through the pipeline to benbrook and the final section of the pipeline going on to eagle mountain is almost done. The water is released from Eagle mountain to Lake worth back into the trinity and the water from ben brook is released into the trinity and all ends up diverted into the flat lands out by Cedar creek and Richland chambers where it is cleaned by nature and then back into the lakes before being pumped back from the lakes to start over again. An amazing and awsome accomplishment by all the agencies involved. This has provided a constant flow in the trinity for several years now creating some good fishing in the trinity that no one talks about. Do some research and see the whole layout , its all aimed at the 500 million dollors Fort Worth is spending to create the downtown river project development which is pretty incredible as well. I have lived just east of downtown my whole life and the trinity is a different river now and getting better and better . Texas is doing something right who would of thunk it!!! Check it out the levees and the constant flow are great, check it out if you dont know about it.

Glad the river has water. However Benbrook is sitting 8 feet low with only one boat ramp open. Back in May it was up 6 feet and the powers that be drained it to normal level right at the start of summer and it has been dropping ever since. I kinda wish they had kept it a few feet high knowing that every year it draws down very fast ever since they started using it for a water supply.
