I've yak fished a couple of times this summer and early fall in the Bosque from MCC downriver to downtown, and on the Brazos from Loop 340 downriver to downtown. My experience has been its kind of tough to fish. I've caught a few small bass on crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Best launch locations are MCC and East Cameron. Bank fishermen are out regularly looking for catfish and I've seen them haul in carp too. Both rivers above Mouth of the Bosque are certainly a fun to paddle due to the great scenery and quiet water. I'm going to keep trying, and hopefully a better fisherman than me will add some advice. Look in the outdoors section on wacotrib.com and there is usually an announcement for the Waco Paddle Club meeting. They've been launching on the Brazos at East Cameron on Wednesday nights.
