Several of us actually trailered this evening. The winds at the ramp made it safer to do so. It took 10 pounds to win tonight. Nice job guys! And there were two four pounders brought to the scales. Alas, none of these was mine, but I had fun anyway. Not as much fun as Snake Eyes and Ronnie tonight. I would have liked to have been a casual observer watching the activity on board there for a few minutes tonight. I'll let the participants tell the story so I don't get anything wrong. And they rallied back to get third place and second place big bass. Nice job gents! Thanks to Eric for getting me on the water and KP for putting on the show. And thanks to all the guys who come out and play on a Tuesday night. Makes for a great evening.

thanks Tom :-P
ok so that we get the story right and i dont get accused of trying to drown my partner...
Skeeter Ronnie and I started off knowing that we needed to make a run and that it wasnt going to be pretty. The wind was up at launch unlike weigh in were it was less than 5 mph winds....
we ran all the way around to the north east side of the lake and in doing so hit some big waves and it was rough.
I noticed that the boat was acting funny getting on plane on the last part of the run and made mental note to check it out once we got out of the wind. We got to the first spot and i put the TM down and noticed that it wasnt pulling the boat the way it has in the past.... I catch the first keeper and see that the live wells are over flowing with not being turned on. I yell to Ronnie we have a problem.
well long story short we beach the boat and Ronnie jumps in and finds the plug is gone.
ok i know i put it in and have witnesses... so the only thing we can figure is that we hit SO HARD that the pressure knocked out the plug. luckily i ALWAYS carry a spare and Ronnie put it in and we finally got the bilges working and back to fishing....
all in all we are no worse for wear and are back fishing in around 30 mins.
we weighed in 3fish for 7.05 with a 4.05 BB
one last thing
BIG THANKS TO MY PARTNER for jumping in and keeping us afloat!
thank you Ronnie!

Ronnie, What a friend! I will have to say that because you sacrificed so unselfishly Jay has decided to give you his TV and his dog. I know, I know, a lot of people have been giving there tv's and dogs to others lately but I think it is a kind gesture and you should not feel bad for excepting. SnakeEyes, you are the man, I know Ronnie will get much use out of the TV and the dog.
We had a good time, we may not have caught enough to win but we did find the Hybrids schooling and had a blast catching some nice fish the last hour before weigh-in. Not Bass, but 2,3,4,5lb hybrids is a lot of fun on light line.
I will have the results up shortly.

You know me Jay! I specialize in throwing people under the bus! I would like to point out that Jay took my advice and wore long pants last night and Ronnie wore shorts. Guess who ended up in the water! I may not be a great stick, but I'm pretty smart about other things. I understand about getting a little chilly Ronnie. We launched by the TX Queen last night and I walked through ankle deep water at the ramp to get in the boat. My feet were COLD by the end of the night! That ramp is too shallow! Hey KP. For next year, as a plus for winning the month, besides entry fee, winners should get someones TV and dog. Great promotion!

Plenty of small fish. I only found one keeper last night and it came when I made the switch to a LFT Hyper worm. It pays to have a hook-up! Thanks for the backseat Thomas. Lets rip some lips at the Ray Hubbard Open. P.S. Thomas does not require his partners to perform a swim test before allowing them to fish. Safety is one thing Jay but you caused the man serious shrinkage .

had one keeper and lost two at the boat and plenty of small fish, but from what i hear, that would not have done us a bit of good....
