Port Arthur is good fishing now, finger mullet or gulp alive new penny 3" shrimp are killing reds, flounder, and most of the trout are caught ealry in the morning on topwater/sub-surface mirrolures.

Just a jig head is fine, you need to head over the MArtin Luther king bridge over to PLeasure Island and take a right at the stop sign, then go all the way daown (Watch for boats in road) pass through one stop sign and then on the second one take a left and stop at the first pipe (thats as far as you can go after Ike) and just cast and jig it off the bottom.
