Talk to Cindy with the Canoe Rental in the Caddo State park today, she said she would work with us about the canoe in Feb. and let us take them by land to Crip's if anyone need to.

I say cook and fish. We can do clinics on an impromptu basis?

a. Clinic on.? bass, sunfish
b. Cook out, BQ.? maybe some spouses will volunteer
c. Fishing tournament.? i doubt it, maybe 1 or 2 bucks for big fish just for fun.
d. I think we might want to pair up less experienced with more experienced anglers
e. not sure about anyone else, but i am bringing my boat and will have room for one person (2 if one doesnt fish & ain't skeered of flies zippin' past their head).

Caddo Fly Fishing Spring Classic

a. Clinic on Bass & Sunfish - from the more experienced that come to this event.
b. Cook out - How about a CAJUN CLASSICS, like Gumbo & Jambalaya should be able to get most of the fixing given to us by one of my sponsor.
c. A fun tournament $2.00 fee, $1 go to the Big Bass and $1 go to the Big Sunfish.
d. Lets pair up to help cut the cost of making this trip.

Bumping this up as its getting closer and closer to time.

I would really like to participate in this. I don't have a boat, but I can certainly chip in for gas, or bring home-cooked food (if you native Texans would like to evaluate a California refugee's smoked brisket I will take that risk as I have already validated the results with other native Texans and frankly feel pretty good about myself), or just buy a few beers.

Caddo looks like a pretty amazing place and it would be cool to fish with some TFF'ers. I am accustomed to being out-caught 30-1 by Cliff so I have no ego to protect in this at all.

What happened to the Thur-Fri dates???

Dunno. At this point I think its all up for renegotiation.

If you go make sure you are 100% legal on your boat requirements... The game warden out there is on the prowl and more than willing to liberally give out tickets. I got a ticket cause I came in at 5:45 without lights, and sunset was officially 5:22. $165. Ouch!!
That means you yakkers too. You gotta have a light if you are on the water 1 min after the sun goes down!

I don't stay out after dark. I'm too skeered.
I still vote for Thur and Fri. Weekend is no bueno!!!

What kind of lighting is mandatory and can you even fish cado from a yak? I heard the lake was too big.
