I can see why shimano had to come out with the new one. I forgot how big this thing feels on a rod, and it's just not up to snuff compared to reels in its price range such as the Abu Revo S.

It may even outlast the revo S, but the huge increase in performance and likability of the Revo S makes it my preferred reel of the 2.

I just got a new LH citica btw, and had it not cost me $40, I would be very dissappointed (particularly considering it basically replaced the classic green curado).

If you have any right handers left, I'll give you $50 each just to get those horrible reels off your hands.

wow...picked up two more of these mediocre reels in West Monroe, LA.

Apparently those folks haven't caught wind of this wonderful thing called the internet and the great website that is ebay...

They had 4 of them, but I only had $100 to spend...

for the record, I'm either going to use them or try to trade them both for a premium reel.

Clean the factory grease outta the bearings/line guide and relube with a drop of oil and they become smooth as silk. I'm very pleased with this mediocre reel. At $40, they are a steal!
