Can anyone tell me if you can still bring a pull type camper to Cally and camp or did they change things when they started changing everything there?

I agree with Roger on calling first.

There is an article in today's Express-News about the park plans

Park Plans

I wish they would consider building a large group Pavilion at Cally like they have at Braunig and I hope that they start replacing the restrooms first.

As far as the restrooms go, I just wish they would put in some wood or plastic toilet seats. Let me tell you, when it's cold and you have to do your thing, well, I think you know what I mean. It just doesn't take long to "getter done"

If they do replace the bathrooms the same people will be using them. And they will be just like they are now in 3 months.

I dunno, maybe it's all that mercury in the water that makes the used toilet paper fly up and stick on the walls.

One more reason I go to Choke.

Follow the Link below it is from the San Antonio River Authoriies (SARA) web site. SARA wants to make Brauning and Calaveras more like Texas state parks. The stores will now carry even more limited fishing equipment and no more live bait. The only bait you can get is frozen out of a vending machine. They want to clean it up and make it more family freindly.

I'm glad they'll doing a lot of changes for the better but they are also cutting a lot of services which imo were useful and needed. Did you know that your on your own if you break down while on the lake? You have to rely on other folks to help you out there (thank god for good people). Also this thing about charging the disabled full price when in years past was half price, I see where they let in disabled veterans at half price or free (great Idea!)but lets be fair.
