I have not been out fishing in a few weeks and was just wondering if the reds have started running here in Corpus yet. if so where are they being caught at. I usually like to go to packery channel. has anyone had any luck out there? thanks for the info.

Well no one wants to talk huh? Well does anyone know if Bob Hall Pier is open again after all the damage done to it by Hurricane Ike.

yes it is and goin good i just got back from it last weekend and the fishing is good especially the red drum

Bob hall is not opened.. Reds are defiantly running here in CCTX. Packary jetties would be a fine place to get into some.

I was at the packery south jetties Sunday morning. (7AM to 8:30AM) I saw a couple of slot reds caught on the north jetties. The waves were big, the tide was up, and the wind was blowing pretty good. Not as much mullet as there were two weeks ago. no luck on artificials. most bait stores were out of live piggies, and croaker.

I fished port A jetties Saturday. My girl hooked up with a bull red, but malfunctioning reel caused her to break off 30lb test. saw a 40 inch plus sized red and a few upper slot reds caught. Not much bait in the water there either.

I finally caught an oversized red 10/12/08. I'll be back this coming weekend, 10/25/08, for some more fun. I hope the cooler weather is moving them around. It'd be fun to land a few more of these
