Hello all, planning a short range trip to Ivie in a few days. Can anyone recommend a good place to stay near lake,decent chow etc..Thanks..

You have 3 choices @ the lake,Concho Park,Elm Creek & Sportsman.Concho & Elm Creek are on the lake and both have grills with good food.Sportsmans is on the main road where you turn off to Elm Creek.I have stayed @ all of them and it just depended on who had a room open.Sportsman was the most expensive though.Good Luck.

I stongly suggest Elm Creek Village. Jerry will take care of ya well.

I know of a lady that rents a nice two room house that is clean and very affordable. it is at kennedy park with the elm creek diner and the sportsman cafe very close by. Call me at 432 209 1065 if you want her number.

whatever you do, make the trip to lowake and get some steak.

Thanks all who replied!! I retired from the Army in Killeen, and now am trying to "catch up" on some lakes I have been missing the time to fish.. Belton and Stillhouse are my home lakes, and the fishing is good now.But I have been wanting to go to OH Ivie for years.. Thanks again,

I reccomend either Sportmans or Concho. We go out & fish at Ivie often & a friend on here guides the waters out there. Like I said...Conchos grill is AWESOME!!
