GREG_G ,yes you are correct,i saw that 2 weeks ago....$15.00 hamburger ..unreal..starts off with like 8 patties and 1 lb bacon,1 lb cheese,1 lb lettuce,1 lb onions,1lb pickels...if you dont want 1 of the toppings then they will substitute for another patty...if you eat it all,you get your pic. on the wall with how long it took you to eat it all

The table, glasses and onion rings look like they are from Loco Coyote in Glen Rose...However, their burger is bigger if I remember correctly... Ding ding ding - Thats a Howling Loco Coyote burger. The pic was taken with a cell phone and does not do it justice. The cooked patty was probably 9" diameter and over an inch thick. It had grilled onions and jalapenos, chili, 6 thick slices of bacon, 4 slices of cheese, and covered nearly the whole plate. I had no idea what I was ordering, I thought it was a joke when it came out Anyway, turns out it was great! I cut it in 4 pieces and made about 3 meals out of it. Loco Coyote is great. The kids plates were more than I could eat. We left with 4 full to go boxes after we ate.

Did any of y'all ever eat at a little place in Downtown Ft. Worth called Helens? It was about 2 blocks west of Henderson and about 3 blocks south of 7th St. It was a little white building and I think that it sat on a corner.
We used to go there in the mid-late 80's. She had a burger that was regular size in diameter but the patty was well over an inch thick.
You could get that burger and some fries for about $4.
Wasn't too bad, but the meat was a little dry.

We normally stay at the Best Western so please give directions from there. Thank you for the info I am always on the look out for good food.

If you're at the Best Western Dinosaur Valley Inn and Suites, go south on 67 about 9 or 10 miles and take a right on County Road 1004...Across the street from County Road 1004, you'll see a red building with a big ol' Texas flag painted on the roof...Just stay on CR 1004 about 1 mile and you'll see it on your left...It looks like a run down ol' gathering place, and there's a house right next door, but it's GOOD!!!

A place back in Pa. makes them in the following sizes. 1lb 3, 5, 7, 15, 50 and yes 100lb which goes for 399.00 and requires a 3 day notice on making it. There has been only been one person to eat the 7 lber and she was a college student at Penn State and weighed in at a whopping 98lbs soaking wet. took her two hours and with all the fixins it weighs just under 12 lbs.

Ethyl burger at the Filling Station in Austin was the biggest I ever saw at a regular eating joint but the best I ever had was at a place in Smithville Texas called Rocky Hill Ranch.

Believe me one patty is enough. I want to say they are a 1 lb. patties!
I could not imagine 3 patties! By far one of the best burgers I've had.

I was at Texoma last week with a nice surprise. I was off of 75 and stopped at a Braums. They messed up my order and asked if they could correct it. They not only corrected it but added another patty and more cheese. The best triple meat I have had in a long while.

This one wasn't in Texas, but it weighs in over 20lbs. and some guy finished it! Man, if you ever get pissed off at a buffet just recommend it to this guy. He could put them out of business.

It's not in Texas but the Denny's Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield, Pennsylvania has a 100 lb. hamburger.
Search for it on the internet. There's some great pictures.

I know there are bigger burgers that are made for "show" and "special occasions", but my family would go to Tyler Pounds Field Airport Cafe and order the Tyler Pounder which was a regular menu item. It would come out on a pizza tray and was sliced like a pie. One burger was big enough to feed the entire family (4). Good memories
