I just picked up a few corky devils. Do I fish them like a reg corky? The tail thingy they have makes it look like you should reel it in a little faster so you can have some movement.

I have looked for some corkys. Where do you get them and just what kind of lure are they. Thanks

Order on line at www.corkybandl.com or call Paul at his house 713-946-9188. If he's home you can go to his house and get them, depending on how they came out from the storm.

No they don't. Sportsman Warehouse might, not sure about them, the others do not. They carry the Corky wannabe, not the original Corky's. I think Roy's in Corpus is the only place you can get them except directly from Paul Brown.

Fish them like you would any other suspending bait. Have you ever thrown a Mirrolure? Same sort of retrieve will work. I like to cast them out, let them sink for a few seconds and vary my retrieve with a few “bumps” every so often.

Try throwing one in clear water and watch the action of the bait. I have tried out many lures in a swimming pool just to see how the presentation looked under water. I generally fish the greater Galveston bay area, and most often you are not able to see your lure as it is being retrieved.

Hope that helps…

I have good luck with Corky's when they are just sitting there. Reel just enough to keep slack out the line, bump it occasionally.
