I have this feeling that Flatheads don't winter in TX...but they do in MN when the water temps hit 45 and below. This video is from the Mississippi River, near Redwing, MN.

Channel cats and Flatheads.

Thanks for the welcome!

Flats hibernate in many ways like bears do during the cold water months. They are amazing fish!

This wasn't the best video to see it in, but if you look closely there is silt on the backs of some of the flats. We could bounce our camera off their backs without them moving.

If you folks haven't seen my post in the general fresh water forum...we are from MN in Wichita Falls...our guided trips have been cancled and are looking for possible a good Blue Cat guide for Sunday.

Will travel many miles to fish.

Any recommendations out there??

My buddy that booked a trip in the Gulf 8 months ago should have bought a few lottery tickets.LOL!

Welcome to TFF and WF Brian! You should give Bill Rogers (or his brother Gary) a call for a guided trip on Lake Arrowhead. He'll put you on the fish.
