Any lure not rigged or running properly can add to line twist.
The cure is to take an extra second to rig your worms as straight as possible and keep your other baits tuned so they run correctly.
If you do notice some twisting then before casting again allow the bait to just hang there with a couple of feet of line between the bait and the rod tip and the twist will work most of itself out.
