Hey guys,

There is a source in Dallas that will buy used batteries. I talked to JP this morning and he loved this idea.

We do the annual toy drive in December for the Christmas Party.

We can raise a good sum of money by having everyone donate their used car and boat batteries! We are paid .25/lb for these and they can really add up.

So effective immediately, we are accepting used automobile and boat batteries.

We can easily raise $1500-$2500 for the toy drive if we start now!

Thanks to Rockwall Marine, and all 3 of Fun & Sun's locations for stepping up and letting people drop off batteries for the Toys for Tots drive.

UPDATE!

Fun & Sun in Hurst called and said they needed the batteries there picked up!

I picked up 30 batteries, and got $422.50 for them! Increadible!

Keep up the good work guys! This is going for a great Cause!

How many batteries have we collected?

It may slow down with batteries for awhile, being in the parts sales business. Our battery suppliers have started a core charge program and it is significant charge.

Monte, So far we've collected $417 or so. I haven't picked up from Rockwall or the other two locations of Fun & Sun yet.

So that figure could double.

I've already sent JP the check for the first round of collections.

Can I just skip the battery part & send a check for this? If so, who/where do I sent it to? Participating in Toys for Tots was always one of my favorite activities when I was a Marine ...
