That's great. You mind saying what area of the lake and what type of structure / cover you were fishing? I fish that lake relatively often and wonder what depth / area the larger fish relate to. (I don't catch many truly large ones out of that lake...great catch)

i heard a report from a family friend of some VERY nice bass being caught over the last week.... Kinda scared to go throw light line out there now.. LOL!!

I was doing what everyone else does that fishes Hubbard and I seldom do my self. Fishing the I-30 rip-rap on the Rockwall side. Throwing a bandit 300 spatter back crankbait. Caught the fish in about 8ft of water. Water temp was around 80. Just one of those being in the right spot at the right time. I took it to BPS to get weighed. Right at 9lbs. 24 1/4 long, 17 1/2 girth. They asked if I wanted to donate it to BPS and I said sure. I had to call a phone # they had and take a survey. They said for donating the fish they will take the measurements and make a replica and should get it in 4 months. So it is in quarantine for 30 days. I know some of you don't like the idea of donating the fish to BPS but it was my decision to make and that is what I did.

thats your decision to donate. I like seeing all the fish in BPS so I think it's cool that you donated it.

Why would anyone care if you donated to BPS or not? I agree, It's your decision. I'd love to hear the reasoning as to why donating to BPS would be a bad thing.
