Well Gustov left us with 5 inches of rain this week here in NE Oklahoma....The creeks and rivers came up a little and we went catfishing.

We were using the SECRET-7 catfish bait anchoring in front of brush piles. We were throwing the bait right in front of the wood. You would get hit within 5 minutes, if not we would move to the next pile.

The boys had fun....the air was cool.....and the cats were laying the poles over.

Dad had a good time as well.....They are getting big quick!!!

Nice pixs looks great memorys in the making for the younguns.
I like the depth of that boat for fishing younguns. What kind of a line do you run on a 3/4 ton rod? smile

The rods in the pictures that the boys are holding are the proto-type rods we are getting ready to release into the Team Catfish brand. We have been testing them all year.

The T.M. names for the rods are 1/2 TON which is a 7' medium light action, the 3/4 TON is a 7-6 medium heavy action, the 1 TON is an 8' heavy action. All the rod models for now will be casting models. White HI-Vis blanks, stianless steel eyes, double wraps, triger, 15 inch butt section. They are very, very strong but light feeling fiberglass rods that have been designed for catfishing situations from lakes to the Miss. River. They are built in the USA and have a very good feel to them.

We are still 4 to 6 weeks out on the finished rods.

The reels on the rods......I have been using these for years. They are the Quantum 1430 MG Wide Spool. Not heavy enough for the big rivers but will handle anything a lake situation can throw at um.

As far as the line goes for the 3/4 TON rod....I am using 65 lb braid and 40 lb mono leaders.
