i fish down on lake marble falls alot which is part of the colorado river. several months ago, fish were biting great, so good that we could throw those "barely keepers" back and not think twice about it. here lately they are just not biting the way they were. this lake (river actually) generates once a day for only a couple hours and that seems to be the only time i can just get a few decent fish. does anyone else out there experience this from time to time? and i do use maze

we spent the weekend on lbj and only caught a few small ones. used shrimp, big marv's and dk's. it was the first time i have been on the lake, so i can't really comment, but the bait shop guy said things have slowed alot over the last few weeks

Looks like the dog days are staying on for a little longer. You sound like us, we need some rain. The fresh water will help get those cats feeding again. These cooler nights can't hurt to lower the water temp.

YEAH BUT WHEN IT DOES RAIN, IT ONLY RAINS LIGHTLY ABOUT 20-30 MINUTES. IM GONNA GO MAKE SOME NASTY MAZE OR SOMETHING. HOT DOGS, SHAD, SALAMI, SHRIMP, OLD CHEESE (I HAVE SOME LOL), A FEW COORS LIGHTS AND MIX IT WITH MAZE IN A FIVE GALLO BUCKET. PRIME IT UP FOR A FEW WEEKS AND SHOULD BE READY TO GO.

Don't waste your time with that extra nasty maze. If the quality fish are there, they will hit what you are already using. Fish are only active for a short time during these hot days of summer.

I've gone out in the middle of the day in the heat of August with soured maze and loaded the boat when no one else was catching. I just dropped the maze in a tote sac over the boat and caught them. Sometimes, you just got to be lucky! Zebco, you got to use Lone Star beer. These are Texas catfish, and they want the national beer of Texas.

From the looks of all the trash left by the skiers and other trash on Eagle Mountain the beer of Texas is Keystone Light! Off Topic I know but I had to throw it out there.

NOPE! - The Lone Star drinkers are decent enough to clean-up their trash . . .
