Northwest shoreline, in the flooded cattails. We were useing float rigs and carolina rigs. Use fresh cut gizzard shad. We had to move towards the bridge every hour or so to stay in the fish, 4 to 6 in each spot. Also note if the aeriator is on by the dam anchor off outside the bouys and toss a carolina rig off in there and hang on. I also noticed the shad were scattered. My son and I had to make several throws to catch enough bait. We will probably be back this weekend. Look for a Deep V Lowe. Be glad to help out if I can.

Cool. Thanks! Last time I went we tried to drift up from the rip rap along the ledge toward the cove on the west side. All we caught was about a 4 lb channel. There was a ton of gar though. One time when I cast my bait out a gar ate it before it hit bottom. I let him run with it for a minute and then tried to catch him. He jumped out of the water about 20 yds from the boat. He was at least 4 feet long. Looked like a Marlin! It was pretty cool. Anyway, thanks again for the info. I don't know if ill be able to make it up there very soon.
