Haven't got to fish much over the last couple of months and after striking out at Tawakoni 2 weekends previous to this one, I hit Cedar Creek this morning.

5-10 mph wind out of SE was just that - 5 + 10 = 15 but wind laid later in the morning somewhat. Snuck in on the sunken island with Chuck and JA showed up. Slabs weren't working for me there (except for a nice crappie that got off at the boat) so I got out of their way and went to the TC and started trolling a #20 clear Jet Diver with a #13 Pet spoon and picked up a few nice sandies there. Then Chuck and his clients showed up as I was leaving for EI.

Didn't find any fish trolling at EI and moved over to the SWH where I saw Fastguy and stopped to talk to him awhile. Then went to the IW and trolled around a couple of guys who were camped out on the two humps there - nothing. Then went back to the TC area and every trolling pass was a magnum sandie. Had a grandpa and his two grandsons come trolling in and I waved them over, showed them the line, watched them start catching fish then I left and put the boat on the trailer, a happy camper I was.

No hybrids.

Redfin good to see you today! You are right it was tough slabbing but the hell-pet was the ticket today! Cleaned 50 nice whites and a few big hybrids. Going crappie hunting in the morning.
