I have seen red kills for several years at this time of year, I usually mark it up to oxygen depletion of the very hot water. Its not uncommon as some of you newer Fairfield red fisher may think. I base this on twenety years of fishing the lake.
Here again I have never seen one the size and scope of this. I also believe there are still plenty of reds in the lake and I will find out tonight and the remainder of the week.
Regardless of what others may say and think TPWD is very interested and involved with this latest kill. They have lots of time and money invested in the lake and are looking out for its best interest.
Do I think TXU could possibly be a part of this accident, yes anything can happen. After all this is there lake they own it lock stock and barrel. They can lock it down at any time they see fit, for any or no reason.
I'm as sick and disturbed over this as anyone else and just hope for the best.
