Guys,
I have two batteries on the boat. One for cranking and one for the trolling motor. Need an on-board dual bank charger.

What do you reccomend and what amperage?

JT

Generally, more is better but don't go over 10% of the RC (reserve capacity) or 25% of the AH (amp hour capacity) of the battery. Ten or 12 amps is fine for most batteries. You'll get a longer service live from your trolling battery if you recharge it as soon and as quickly as you can. It'll take a 2 or 4 amp charger a long long time.

Whatever you end up with, make sure it automatically switches to "float charge" or "float mode" (*NOT* the same as "trickle charge") when the batteries are fully charged.
