I have a 527i unit and am looking to install a wide beam tranducer on it as im not using the other frq. right now anyway and its just too narrow. I thought maybe someone had one they want to part with but im not sure what part #s fit i guess the ones from the 520 would. Letme know i would prefer a skimmer but a puck would work too. Now for the navionics im also looking for a navionics chip but the 07 and 08 both have Bonham on them but havent yet seen the setail could someone maye get a screenshot of some detail for me. Does the detail on the 08 on Fork or Bonham get much better than the 07? AND IF someone has one for sale let me know. Thanks

i will say that each year we, as staff, are required to send in reports of any discrepancies we find on the lakes. or improvement we would like to see on the map chips. Somtimes minor changes occur that are hard to see in comparison to previous year chips. Each year they get better. Its the same with electronics. I always like to try and keep the best/newest product because sometimes thats all I can rely on to help my no-fish catchin abilities smile LOL! You could probably find an 07 chip for $75, but for another $24, you can get the 08 with the rebate thats available now. I have used my map chip in every tourney I have fished this year... Heck- i use it just about everytime I am on the lake. example: looking for contour breaks, looking for long coves all over one side of the lake, looking for creek channels that swing near banks, lookng for humps in a certain depth range... its amazing what you can do. I can dial in what depth water I want to fish and change the shading on the map to match those depths, then follow that around the lake looking at the contours. Lowrance/Humminbird coupled with Navionics is a great combination to get a feel for whats underwater. I have even found ledges on Ray Hubbard by finding close contour lines, then going over it with the side imaging. smile
