My brother just moved to the Galveston area, and I was wondering what would be the best time of year to visit little bro. (as an excuse to catch some redfish of course.) We'll probably fish from kayaks. Thanks.

Now to the end of October for the Bulls in Galveston. You can easily catch 15 or more good ones on teh average trip. Crabs are the ticket.

Fishspanker, are you talking about Blue crab you can get at the bait store? Most around the 5" mark? How do you rig them??

I have seen them chopped in half, put circle hook through shell by point. Also seen break the top green shell off crab and put rest on circle hook
