Caught a lot of these guys off the dock in Minnesota while we were fishing for Bluegill. None over 3 pounds but plenty of fight on light tackle.

Awesome! Redhorse are very cool fish! Stronger fighters too, unless they go into shock lol.

Suckers are cool. I have yet to catch any redhorse (and only 2 species of suckers at all, I suck).

That's one I have yet to catch, and really want too. We have a redhorse in Texas, but I've yet to see anyone of them landed.

The gray redhorse that we have are supposed to be excellent table fare. We see a lot of them while bwfshn here in central Tex. One place I go they are VERY thick and some of them are quite big.

Anywhere you might be able to catch some from the bank? I'd love to add them to my species list. If you pop one big enough to eat, give it a try. I used to eat redhorse up north, and they were delicious. Don't remember the exact species, I think they were River Redhorse. Bit boney but worth the effort as I remember it. If I catch any Grey Redhorse I may have to give it a try! I've eaten just about everything else I've caught at some point hehe.

Starless,

The place we see them this has not bank fishing access but I would be more than delighted to take you out in my boat if you ever want to come this direction to get one for your list.

Cool man sounds good. They can be hard to catch, I used to get the ones up north on nightcrawlers more then anything else. Corn might do the trick as well hehe.

You can catch them right under the bridge standing on the bank.
