Hey TCF, kayak is standard gear. I'll probably forget to bring something important like money, fishing license, whistle or the rod. MY casting is atrocious but am able to go 30' and where I want the fly to go. I went fishing today but a homeless woman kept pestering me to buy her bicycle, so I left. Why I like fishing: To get away, catch fish and get away.

I hate to make you do this but all the details are on this seven pages of thread. Your job now is to weed through the BS. I think this trip is more geared to actualfishing rather than the theroy. There will be some clinics involved though I belive.

30 ft is all you need to cast for most conditions. You won't forget anything, and if you do...you can buy it or borrow it. Have some fun!
