Yes, April showers ya know..bring May flowers. Usually it is quite nice in that part of April. Of course at Caddo, it may be a little more humid. But I doubt if it will be hot. Of course anything is possible on this side of Tx, and Louisiana...I know that from being a native to the area...hehehe.

I think I will have to tie something special for Caddo. black, brown, over red...streamer...I have nothing even close to that. What kind of streamers do good there I wonder. Bead chain eye clousers? I know one thing, you cannot pull a streamer through the area of the state park pier in May...the vegetation is THICK. I am not sure what all flies I will make, or bring yet. I better get to tying soon. First I have to make terrestrials for a beginner fly swap. This is like my least fav type of fly to make.

I tied some weedless poppers last night using a 4/0 straight shank plastic worm hook, I put hook in vise & bent until just right, tie on some animal parts & ya have a weedless bendback popper. (I dont like mono weed guards, if they are stiff enough to actually work they are stiff enough to interfere with hookset).

Edited by badassbaits (01/27/09 03:59 PM)
Edit Reason: love me some weedless poppers
