This sounds interesting, but please don't schedule it for the same weekend as the "Fly Fish Texas" event. It is usually the first weekend of March in Athens, TX.

GOT SOME QUESTION:

The Spring Trip on Caddo, Have some Question for You.

Q.1 Do we do it on a weekend.?
Weekend will have much more boat and people.
Q. 2 Week days.?
Most of the time the 3 or 4 boat on the river, and Stare Park has no one fishing form the shorline.
Q. 3 Split it up, Make it Fri & Sat.

Q.4 Do we do a 1 day or 2 day event.?

Q.5 Do we do a Clinic at the same time.?

Until Next Time Catch as many as you can, but only keep what you need.

Dennis

What kind of traffic would we be looking at? I expect most fly fishers would want to be going slow, hitting the edges. Probably a lot of breamers in the mix (I love to catch bream on my one weight!)

Robin,
When we were out on the river on Monday how many boats did we see, 4 or 5 all day, on the weekend it would been one or two boat every 10 min.
Out in the main lake it don't that bad, you can get away of the traffic, we would be going after 8 to 10lb bass in the main lake.

Until Next Time Catch as many as you can, but only keep what you need.

Dennis, I would be in for that. Sounds cool.

Hey Dennis do you fish it in the winter? I have been there in the winter for pickerel, white bass, crappie and yellow on the fly and that's fun.

I prefer weekdays, but I know some people work, so that wouldn't be possible for them, unless they took off work that day on vacation or something.

I have had a fly pole since I was 9 years old, but still rank amateur as far as fishing with one. I have vacation time coming so, with enough notice, I could go anytime. I'm boatless (personal pontoon, but that don't count). I would like to participate.

Does one of your 3 hour training sessions cover the basic of bassin with a fly stick? Maybe a 3 hour session on a Saturday or during the week of the trip would be possible.

If the details can be worked out I would like to particate.
