A BUDDY AND MYSELF WENT TO EAST BAY SAT.LOTS OF BOAT TRAFFIC.WE SET UP A DRIFT OVER SHELL AND HAD THREE BOATS SET UP DRIFTS IN OUR DRIFT PATH.GUESS SOME PEOPLE SEE YOU FIGHTING A BIG HARD HEAD THEY THINK OOOHHH WHAT A BIG TROUT .BUT ANYWAYS.WE ENDED UP WITH 10 TROUT 3 FLOUNDER AND A FEW CROACKER.

Im thinking about setting up at the state park next month there on Matagorda. I've never fished it. I'm hoping to catch Reds moving out of the channel. Any suggestions?

Next month you should be able to catch reds on most of the flats and grass beds .The water will be cooling down keeping them in the shallows for the entire day. Hope this helps
