I've been catching a lot of blues on lewisville, drifting, friday I noticed I was catching more channels than I have been, but today, I couldn't find them. I fished from 5' to 35' and I only caught 1 blue. Where did they go? fish

So I guess with the water coming in they moved to the creeks?

Read your graph and you will find them. They are not far from where you seem to have been fishing.

My neighbor doesn't seem to have trouble finding them. He's catching 400-500lbs of fish a week out there. I've never seen anything like it.

I'm the same way. I can never seem to find blues in the heat of summer. One of these days, I'm going to figure it out.

if you had a big rain then they'll move up into the river until it crests and then pull back to the current eddys in the lake and once the flood water subsides and quits flowing they'll disperse back into the lake again .. this is only if the river coming into lewisville is a big river ... they'll still do it in a small river but I'd check around the mouth of the tributary right now cause surely it's subsided by now. those are my favorite scenarios because the fish will pile up in areas just to the side of the mouth of the river where there's some current shear or current eddies. if the lake came up a lot where there are some flooded areas that had vegetation grown up on it then they'll be out across that flooded vegetation also.

Thanks Tiney, it didn't come up much and really didn't even get muddy that I saw, I did go close to the mouth of the creek, I was in about 4 1/2-5 feet of water, there was no channel there, and a lot of stumps, so I didn't go any farther. The shad have moved too, as stated by TxCatfish Guide, I can still find enough shad to fish with, but they are not very thick, and it takes a while. There hasn't been very much wind so the shad are not all bunched up. I am puzzled right now, but I am persistant, and I will find them again, friday, I hope.
