My eyes are not what they once were,so I'm having trouble reading my 522C,even with glasses. Any suggestions for a sonar/gps that is bigger/more reader friendly?

It's the eyes that need atention, not the unit. Go to the eye doctor and get some new glasses!! If you can't see a 522c then you can't see well enough to drive.

Or you can spend a few grand and get one of the large screen units --- 10" vs 5" screen size.

We have a "Big Digits" view on our Sonar screens for the 500 and 700 series units.
The information is huge on the display. To make the sonar even bigger you can use the Zoom view and just pick the water column your fishing. That will get you a pretty good sized sonar view on a 5" screen.
Or, the 900 and 1100 series have 7/8/10" screens and the user readouts selections are a good bit larger as well.
Let me know if you need specific details or examples, links to our site etc.

Are you having trouble seeing the map, sonar, or layover info? If it is the layover info, Lowrance should have a feature to enlarge them. I am talking about the water temp, depth, MPH, etc... I have an Eagle and it has this feature and it is made by Lowrance, so it should be the same.

I have the same trouble seeing the smaller graphs. The bigger color units definently help. Get one with the brightest screen you can afford. A bright screen is a lot easier to see in the sun.

I had trouble reading the maps also, until I switched the unit to the night view setting. Much better contrast.

I run mine in the night view also same as Long Mike
Menu>Screen> select night view in the bottom drop box
also I have change the settings to have the water black, the contour lines show up white and really pop.
The other thing you can do is set your safety contour to 3 meters this will make any water less than 3 meters deep a blue color, this may help if you are trying to stay close to this depth or follow close to grass lines depending on the depth of the grass you are fishing.

It was a civil response, as is this one. Just because you don't like the truth of it is no reason to continue in your misguided manner. Sounds like you need a different eye doctor.
