I have a 19ft Skeeter with a Yamaha Vmax 150 that seems to take awhile getting out of the hole. It does not have the original prop on it. What pitch prop should this boat have? the one that is on it is a 25.

On the SX190 and ZX190's a 25 pitch comes on it from the factory.

Will I get up on plane quicker if I go to a lower pitch?

I would make sure it's set up correctly before you go spending money. Which boat is it? If it's the ZX boat it has a setback plate and setup will be much easier. These will be some of the pertinent questions to start with.

What are your rpm's at max speed on it?

Do you know how to measure prop height? If so, what is it?

Is the prop damaged or dinged in any way?

What is top end speed?

What kind of load are you carrying?

It's the SX190 with a stainless steel prop, top speed I've had it at was about 55. Don't know how to measure hight. I'll have to get back to you on the other questions.... thanks

the sx190 should NOT have a jackplate on it.

a 23M should be the right prop for that boat.

engine should be mounted in the 2nd hole from the bottom hole. or possibly the middle hole.

this time of year (HEAT) you'll need to drop pitch, then when cooler air prevails the 25 will be best.
i have a like new 23m2.

The engine is mounted from the skeeter factory. So I'm sure it's right. So going down in pitch should help?

What are you asking for that prop?

these props run great on slightly older mercury engines.

if that were mine, i'd go with the yamaha pro-series.

better holeshot and more lift with the m2!!!

the laserII is a good prop. the m2 is just a bit better.
