2112 Angler Registered: 07/03/05 Posts: 394 Loc: BACLIFF, TX	I've seen this fish before, in my dreams on the end of my gig. It is a east coast summer flounder that went 12.5 lbs. It was caught with live mullet on a fish finder rig.

Now what ever you are thinking of as large, think even larger. This summer I gigged a 21 inch flounder and when I got it to the cleaning table I discovered a barely digested, 8 inch mullet in its stomach and this flounder was obviously laying on a flat, waiting for more supper to come by. I am going to take a wild guess here and assume a truely large flounder, say 28 inches and 8 lbs can easily swallow and readily attack a mullet up to 12 inches long. Food for thought.
