How about check out every major drop off? That's a little closer. If you have a Navionics chip, you can look for major depth changes in short distances.
Major creek channels (in some locations) have stuff on the sides of them. But there are a bunch of creeks leading in to coves. That could take you months - unless you have an SI. But if you had that, you may not be asking. :p
Points? Yep...good rocky points that have a sudden depth change on them.
That might help a little bit more.
There are two locations off the top of my head that are completely natural occurrences in the lake and they both hold fish. That's just off the top of my head. Both of them are rocky points/ledges with sudden depth changes. That depth change may even be between 14' and 18' deep.
