I agree with Blu on brand (Powell) but a little different on which rods.
If you are throwing an open hook wacky weightless than go with the 702CEF, the 703CEF or 683CEF for Senko style weightless baits.
Cranking I like the glass rods and would go with a 702CB glass rod.
Hard to beat a Powell and especially since they dropped their prices.

Take a look at having a custom rod made by Mike at Hendrix Rods. I was in contact with another young man from down at College station on here that came up and bought two at the Arlington Tackle Show.

GO now you can get them at Academy for $99. Not the new T7's though. They have not been released yet with the new upgrades. They should be ready soon.

If you hurry go to Academy this week and get some Falcon T7 Caras while the Rod Riot is going on. Some of the best rods you will handle.

There are current T7's and then Falcon has some newer versions with a few changes that are not out yet. Both series are excellent but I wanted to clarify that the new ones are nout out yet.

Bassag, Falcon makes an excellent wtless worm rod. Mine is a T7 Cara and I use it for flukes. I also use a T7 MH CC5 for my cranks. Great rod matched up with a Revo Winch for cranks.

Mark, one of the Caras I picked up was a new split handle, the new version. The new rods are out. This thing is super light and I got it for 99 during the rod riot. The Midland Academy only had a couple. It will be used for spinner baits and has a new STX on her.

American Eagle Rods makes incredible rods. From less than $100 to upper end signature rods they have a model that will fit your needs and budget. All are covered by a lifetime warranty as well. Check them out at www.americaneaglerods.com or call them direct at 918-437-7643. I have used them for 5 years now and nothing else I've seen or used beats them.

I like the Carrot Stix, Falcon Cara and Shimano Cumara rods. I have no affiliation with any of the above. I just buy and use what I know works for me.
