I think you need some form of personal ID(military, state issued)if you are over 17.

For general license questions, please call TPWD Headquarters in Austin at (800) 792-1112 or (512) 389-4800. Staff is available to help answer questions Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, Central Standard Time. Well....there you go. barndoor

I just found out that you can't buy a license if you owe back child support. No, I don't, but that's what the girl who wouldn't shut up at Dick's sporting goods said.

The booklet states you MUST have either a Texas DL or a Texas state issued ID.
ALSO starting this year Disabled Veterans must show and award letter less the 1 year old in order to receive the "Fee-exempt" hunting and fishing Liscense. Notice I said Fee-expempt NOT free!!! I paid for it in Nam!!!
