My dad (God rest him) talked me out of it and told me I would be better off investing the money. He was right until 9-11 and that money disappeared. Should of bought it then. Got to see the world, provided a paycheck and paid for my college education. Served in the first Gulf War, Iraq war is tougher...but would still definately recommend service to any young folks.
