Decided to hit Lavon before work this morning, since the weather seems so "fishy" . Invited Cliff to join me. We hit the water right before sunrise, and caught bass on rocky points, a couple by the water pumping tower close the E. Fork park, another couple by some rocky areas on the main lake. Even though Cliff was in the back seat, he outfished me 6 fish to 2 !! He had 5 bass, on chartruese popper early and on BigDale's white streamer. ,and a bluegill. I had 1 bass on a white popper, and missed another hit, and 1 bluegill. No white bass were caught today. it was a beautiful morning, water was calm as glass.
All bass were around 1.5# to 2# bass. Fun morning.

Christian got the fish stirred up for me by putting his popper out there first. The fish were about to hit it when he pulled it away, giving me the chance to throw my fly there and catch them The bass were all nice ones, 1#-2#, Christian caught the biggest.

sounds like ya'll had a fine trip, regardless ... fishing isn't a score keeping sport anyway...

actually it doesn't bother me, I was just glad that we were catching fish. Seeing other people fishing in your boat catching fish is rewarding too.

I went for a couple hours before lunch...thought the fishing woulda been better with the overcast, but all i caught were little bass and a couple sunfish..

Y'all are still making me jealous. I need to go fishin!
