Newbie question

I notice that all of yalls pics show up in orange and reds onthe graph. Mine show up in mostly green. Is this a setting I have wrong or is it just something that is specific to my model?


What are the advatges or disadvantegs to this if any? I also notice my is not showing full arches

Green? I have yellow, red, blue and white.

If your diplay is not showing full arches then the most common problem is that your transducer is not level.

bring up the full sonar screen.

1. press menu key until you see sonar features.
2. scrolled down and highlite sonar features and press ent.
3. look to the bottom right and look for sonar chart mode
4. look to see what your setting at.
5. it should see white back ground or bottom track
6. if you see green arches, you are mostly like to be in bottom track mode. if change to white back ground- you will start seeing orange, red, blue or darkblue and some black. all depends where target is in the cone.

7. once you select what chart mode.
8. hit exit until you get back to sonar screen.
9. hit menu unit you see color line. set your color line around 70-74%.

Thanks to all. I did get the color figured out using your advice/instructions. Now I just need to get the arches down to where they show up as full arches.

I checked my transducer and all looks well it seems to be level.

If they are off to the side they won't be full arches.

OK well maybe thats it I will give it one more try just as soon as I can get back out on the lake.
