I was just notified that the Dallas Sheriffs office is not going to patrol the outlying areas of Dallas county any more due to John Wiley prices insistence that it is costing too much money and those people don't need our help????????? If you are only covered by a sheriffs department in a rural area and they decide not to keep anyone close to your area thus extending the response time to more than double will this affect you????

That would mean shoot first, ask questions later if in those areas.

If you shoot twice do you get to ask two questions?

Even more reason for a citizen to arm themselves for protection of self and property.

I'm not prognosticating here, but consider this.

The areas that are not patroled gets residents of those areas to decide to become their own portectors. This results in several hoods getting their tickets punched. These areas gain a reputation that hoods are at major risk of their lives doing the hoodlum thing there. Crime in those areas drop.

The fallout could be interesting.

Increased response time give you more time to drag the bodies inside the house.
