Anyone have any info on this place? How's the fishing? Is it a neat place to go? Looking for a place to take the wife for a weekend.

I actually work for the owner of the place and thus have spent quite a bit of time there. The fishing can be really good in the two ponds on the property. The larger pond that most of the cabins are on has some nice timber in the back, as well as a lill pad field. I have done well when I on spinner baits and lizards. I have not caught anything over 4 lbs personally, but have done well on numbers just fun fishing. I have seen a 20 lb catfish caught there though.

The smaller pond (Dream Lake). Has very clear water and some HUGE perch in it. It is a pretty deep pond for its size and has crappie in it. In the spring you catch fish on beds just walking the bank.

I know I am probably sounding more like a pitchman, but it really is a cool place. Horseback rides, miles of nature trail, quick access to Cypress Springs, Bob Sandlin and Monticello.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Casey
